Visiting researchers

Visiting Researchers join a community of the world’s leading minds and build long-term relationships through mutually beneficial and stimulating intellectual exchanges at Stanford University.

Visiting researchers meet the following criteria

-- They are experienced professionals, academics, or practitioners (not recent graduates). They can come from universities, government research laboratories, NGOs, foundations, or private corporations.

-- They have built a career of major accomplishments in their fields (10-20 years).

-- They are very-self driven and have some experience in conducting research independently.

-- They are eager to actively engage with the Stanford community, deepen their knowledge, and embrace new modes of thinking.

-- They bring a high level of optimism and energy.

Benefits

-- Eligibility to attend a Stanford course or participate in a seminar, free of charge (subject to permission from the instructor).

-- Full library access, access to SUNET (the Stanford University data network).

-- Eligibility for discounts at the Stanford Bookstore, access to university athletic facilities, staff-rate tickets to athletic events, eligibility to purchase a campus parking permit, and access to off-campus housing information.
